About Golden Horse Golf Village & Pro Shop
Golden Horse Golf Village and Pro Shop is a family-run golf haven nestled in the heart of Pietermaritzburg inside the Scottsville Racecourse – A peaceful escape from the rush of the city life. Open seven days of the week, we’ve created a place where golfers, beginner golfers and families can all feel at home.
Our golf Village offers everything you need to sharpen your game or simply enjoy the time outdoors: a full driving range, short-game practice area with bunkers, bent grass putting green and even a fun putt-putt course for the little ones (and the Kids at Heart).
In our Pro Shop, you’ll find a carefully curated selection of golfing apparel, accessories and hardware, all supported by expert advice and friendly service. We also offer custom club fitting with Flightscope technologies, delivered by a seasoned professional who ensures every club is perfectly matched to you.
At the heart of our business is genuine care. We take pride in fast service, personal attention and going above and beyond for every client. When you visit Golden Horse Golf Village you become part of our extended golfing community.
Why Choose Us
01. What clothing do I need for driving range practice?
Wear comfortable shoes such as trainers or running shoes, along with comfortable sports clothing. A hat is recommended for sun protection. You’re also welcome to purchase any golf gear available in store.
02. How many lessons do I need to improve?
This depends on the player, but generally four lessons are enough to cover the basics. For a personalised program, contact one of our coaches.
03. Do I need golf clubs to practice at the range?
No. We have a wide selection of hire clubs available for beginners and golfers traveling through the area.
04. Do I need to book for the driving range?
Booking is only required for corporate functions. Please contact us directly for corporate bookings.
04. Do you offer club fittings?
Yes. We have certified fitters with extensive experience. We also host fitting days with selected brands throughout the year. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated on upcoming dates.
